Health & Safety

Our products are for comfort, pampering and personal care. They are not medical products, and nothing on this site is medical advice.

Before you use anything new

  • If you're pregnant, breastfeeding, recovering from birth, managing a health condition or taking medication, check with your healthcare provider first.
  • Read the ingredients on the label before use.
  • Patch-test skin, body and hair products (see below).
  • Stop using any product that irritates your skin.

Patch test

Before first use, apply a small amount to the inside of your forearm and wait 24 hours. If you notice redness, itching, burning or swelling, don't use the product. Avoid contact with the eyes. If it gets into your eyes, rinse well with water. Keep out of reach of children.

Bath soaks, bath bombs and body wash

Use warm, not hot, water. Ask your healthcare provider when baths are OK for you during pregnancy and after birth. Bath products can make the tub slippery, so take care getting in and out. Bath bombs are for adult use only.

Soy candles

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep it away from children, pets, drafts and anything that can catch fire. Trim the wick to 1/4 inch before each use and burn it on a heat-resistant surface.

Skin care and sunscreen

Our packages contain cosmetics only. Keep using your own broad-spectrum sunscreen every morning as the last step of your routine.

If you have a reaction to one of our products

  1. Stop using it and rinse it off.
  2. Get medical help if you need it. In an emergency, call 911.
  3. Contact us with the subject "Product reaction". Include your order number, the product name, the batch or lot code from the label if you have it, what happened and when, and a photo if you can. We reply within 1 business day, keep a record of every report, and report serious reactions to the FDA as the law requires.

You can also report directly to the FDA: online through the MedWatch voluntary reporting form, or by phone at 1-888-SAFEFOOD (1-888-723-3366), option 4.
